Calnan & Tracy | Montana Made Barns is a family-owned business formed from Tim Tracy and Gina Tracy who’s maiden name is Calnan. Our Montana Made Barns vision serves as our most significant long term career goals. We also want to expand in the future with hope that other family members will join our family business.

Tim Tracy has several years of experience selling pole barns, post frame structures, barndominiums, and outbuildings. Tim has worked with many Amish builders and has become a friend to many Amish families. Montana Made Barns partners with a few builders, who are expert Amish Crews. We also obtain most of the building materials from an Amish lumber and supply business. The quality of work comes directly from the builders. Calnan & Tracy | Montana Made Barns provides the planning through SmartBuild systems, project management, marketing, sales, and administration needs for the crews, so they can focus on building quality pole barn, post frame structures. We plan to expand our partnership with more crews if the demand is there.

Tim Tracy has many years of experience working in the business world, and being a progressive salesperson comes naturally to him, as it has always been his calling in life. He earned his degree simply because he wanted to finish his education at Montana State University-Northern. In addition to his degree, he was also honored with the “Student of Excellence” award. Tim spent over a decade as a part of the world’s largest outside sales force. His territory covered Nevada, Arizona, and Southern California.

As with anyone who leaves, Montana was calling him back. Fortunately, there was an opportunity for Tim in Montana to establish a territory for a business expanding into the area. Tim has spent over 20 years in the sales and business development field. He has helped with the growth of the business into new areas, maintenance of existing territory, as well as pursuing new business relationships. He brings a wealth of experience and training he has gained from working with large worldwide organizations, along with small family-owned businesses. Through this experience, he can provide sales training for any level of sales representative. Through this motivational-based training, you can expect to gain an inspired, organized, effective, and efficient sales force.

Gina Tracy brings budgeting, marketing, and design to the business as well as an administrative skillset. Gina received her Bachelor of Science degree in Professional and Technical Communications from Montana Tech. She began working in marketing and business development right after graduation. She learned many skills with web development and design, marketing strategies, networking, social media marketing, and business development practices that helped build her practical portfolio. Her SEO skill set received the attention of national levels at the time. She developed several websites over the past 15 years.

Gina also earned her master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Montana. She wanted to earn her MPA with the dream of serving Montana citizens through state, governmental, and nonprofit work. For over 10 years, she worked with nonprofits and the state, serving Montanans with substance use and mental health initiatives. Although she loved helping people with behavior health initiatives, she has some physical health issues that limited her ability to travel and work in an office setting. She left her job in 2024 to take care of herself and be with her children.

Tim and Gina have a beautiful blended family with four children, who will also help with the business, if they choose so, and when the time is right. They are all accomplished young adults and teenagers with great ambition of their own. Together they enjoy rockhounding, skiing, hunting, fishing, and exploring this beautiful state.
